New to Priceline - Looking for Ft. Lauderdale Hotel Downtown

Hi all!

 

We (DW and I and another couple) are sailing on the Oasis April 17th and we are looking for a hotel in Ft. Lauderdale for April 16th. We have stayed (and loved) the Embassy Suites but we are trying to stay in the range of about $120 to $150 a night. Embassy's going rate is about $225 or more. I am considering using PriceLine. An avid traveller, I have never used PL and am looking for any and all help in trying to get a nice Ft. Lauderdale Hotel in the area. Airport area would be fine as well. Is there a way to go through PL and get the Embassy Suites at a greatly reduced price?

 

Any experienced PL users have any tips or how-to's for us? Remember I have been on the home page of PL only... a real PL virgin here.

ES is 3* downtown on PL. But you will more likely get Riverside Hotel or Hyatt Place FLL north.
