kentlady Posted January 19, 2010 #1 Share Posted January 19, 2010 Please can anyone tell me if there is a charge for using the ATM cash machine on the Celebrity Equinox.
suz56 Posted January 20, 2010 #2 Share Posted January 20, 2010 Please can anyone tell me if there is a charge for using the ATM cash machine on the Celebrity Equinox. I was told on the Summit it was $5 per transaction. I don't know why it would be different ship to ship, but I could be wrong :-)

I don't know why it would be different ship to ship, but I could be wrong :-) That is probably only Celebrity's fee. Keep in mind your bank may or may not charge something in addition to that. Depending on how much you want, the casino maybe cheaper. I believe they charge 3%. Under $160 is probably cheaper in the casino (even excluding any additional bank fees). kitty9 Posted January 20, 2010 #4 Share Posted January 20, 2010 I've taken out $500 from the ATM and the charge for that amount was $5.50. If you take that amount from the casino, the 3% charge would be $15.
JFontaine Posted January 21, 2010 #5 Share Posted January 21, 2010 Two weeks ago the ATM (Solstice) charged the same 3% as the casino cashier. I used a bank cash machine at the port in St. Martin - no fee.
Phxazzcruisers Posted January 21, 2010 #6 Share Posted January 21, 2010 There is a charge on any of the ships to get cash from their ATM as well as the probability of a charge from your bank also.

You could take even more out if your bank charges you as well. You can always ask your bank what the charge is for out of network ATM withdrawals. caspmorn Posted January 21, 2010 #8 Share Posted January 21, 2010 I was on Millennium earlier this month. The ATM fee was $6.00 for $200 - which amounted to 3%, same as the casino onboard account charge. The fee was also $6.00 when I took out $150. So it may appear that the break even is $200. Not true for me, however, since my bank refunds all ATM fees!
