We tried to book the Prince William Soud Glacier Cruise... but we are in waitlist..

 

Are there any companies offering such tours from Anchorage as alternative to the cruise one?

Just book it on your own. Easy to do. The cruise ships get so many places on the boats.

If you're trying to book it out of Anchorage, HAL's Amsterdam is the only cruise ship going to Anchorage and it is going every other week from mid May through early September so my understanding is they have booked all the bus companies for ship tours. Isn't at least the first part of the tour on a motorcoach? If so, you're out of luck and had better add yourself to the wait list.

If it is HAL's you could call to find out if it's really waitlisted since someone had said that when they'd called about the 5/17 cruise date in Anchorage being waitlisted they were told that was a website glitch.

From Anchorage, it is a SIMPLE drive, to get yourself on a PWS boat tour. PLUS the advantage of having a car for other scenic touring along the way. Worthwhile to stop at the Animal Conservation, Portage Glacier, Crow Creek Mine, Alyeska, many Arm pull offs, etc etc etc etc. Just Plenty to occupy your time in addition to a wonderful Prince William Sound boat tour. Also with a car, no problem getting on the longest PWS boat tours that see more. :)

We are in the waitlist...a lot of excursions are so in Anchorage. I'll try to contact HAL to be sure is not a bug but a real mess..:(

 

We'd prefer using an all inclusive tour then driving...to avoid any surprise also because we are not used to drive in the States (Italians..)...
