Nighlife on Navigator

Recommended Posts

We are on NOS in less than three weeks...just booked today after Carnival cancelled our Destiny cruise (also today!). Anyway, Life is Good... we are still cruising!

I just want to know how NOS nightlife is lately. What are the shows? More importantly, where is the live, FUN, music? Last time we were on NOS (two years ago), there was a pretty fun guitar player in the pub on the promenade. Forget his name. Do they still have that? Is there a piano bar? Looking for some fun music, singing and dancing....

Can any recent NOS cruisers provide some info?

Nightlife is dependant on the passengers...on some cruises, you'll have tons of folks up partying til' all hours....on others, it's "early to bed"....you'll have to make the party!

The bands and ship performers switch out....hopefully, you'll have some good ones!

Our son had a great time enjoying the nightlife on Navigator two weeks ago. We are old fuddy duddies who don't do much partying on board, so we were amazed at all the things our son told us.

He said the worst area was the Ixtapa Lounge. It seemed to attract the least people and had the least fun band. He liked the singer in the pub, but didn't enjoy the one at the Schooner Lounge so much. He enjoyed Boleros the most for a music venue, but also liked the disco and said late at night crew members such as ice skaters and dancers were there.

He really enjoyed the midnight buffet which he discovered on his own. We hadn't even mentioned it to him because we never go. He wanted to see Quest, but got mixed up on the time and got there at the end. He said the karaoke every night was lots of fun. He enjoyed watching the "crazy drunks making fools of themselves singing" (his words), but said there were some surprisingly good, even professional level singers there too.

All of this info is second hand because we don't go to the lounges after about ten. Patrick, a bachelor, did have a great time and was far more impressed with the ship's nightlife than he had anticpated being. One last thing, he said the bar tenders are very good and recognize you and remember your drink preferences.
