Moeve Posted January 28, 2010 #26 Share Posted January 28, 2010 Not sure what you mean...? Do you mean that you'd have bought a package, but they still charge your account for drinks on top of that? Yes consider it a simple slip up of pressing the wrong button. Some barkeepers simply over look the Sign on the card and charge you - it isn't a big deal to get them to take it off again it is just a bother because it means another trip to the front desk. Oh yes and don't leave it to the last day because each query needs to be signed off by the dept head. I think none of my mispost were intentional - they were simply mistakes but when you have a package they are bothersome.
kitkat9438 Posted January 28, 2010 #27 Share Posted January 28, 2010 I didn't see any two for one specials on our cruise and I had the package. Maybe they offer them on the longer cruise if they aren't selling drinks. You do not have to use your own cup on the drinks package. You get a made to order drink, not out of a machine in a clean glass, each and every time. If it gets watered down, throw it out and get another one. It's paid for already right? lcmslady Posted January 28, 2010 #29 Share Posted January 28, 2010 I just had the frozen drink package on the Summit (1/16 - 1/23). I probably broke even. My sister definitely came out ahead of the deal ;) For me, it was worth it just because I didn't even have to give a second thought to how much I was drinking and how much the bill would be. No - you don't have to carry a glass around like the soda packages

etoile Posted January 28, 2010 #38 Share Posted January 28, 2010 Thanks etoile, i totally missed it. after a day of copy editing my eyes are shot. No problem! There's apparently also something called a BBC, does anybody know what that is??
Kan't Wait Posted January 28, 2010 #39 Share Posted January 28, 2010 No problem! There's apparently also something called a BBC, does anybody know what that is?? BBC Drink Recipe This delicious drink is a cruise ship staple. As with most drinks there are different variations. This is my preferred recipe. The BBC stands for Bailey’s, Banana and Colada. If you have these three ingredients, ice and a blender you can whip one up in no time. It is that easy. 1 Banana (some recipes call for no banana and use Creme de Banana in its place and others call for a banana and Creme de Banana, I prefer having a banana in mine. If you must add another liquor I would substitue the Creme de Banana for Banana Rum. The rum gives it a an extra kick ) 1 1/3 oz Bailey’s Irish Cream 2 Oz Pina Colada Mix Throw all three in a blender with some ice. Blend. Pour in a glass. If you like chocolate and bananas take some Hershey’s Chocolate Syrup and squirt the sides of the glass. Pour in the blended mix and you have a Chocolate BBC. pattibacon Posted January 28, 2010 #40 Share Posted January 28, 2010 The BBC sounds yummy -- and having the banana makes it healthy! LOL! On our Med cruise in Oct. on the Summit they DID have the 2/1 drinks in the afternoon around the pool like for a couploe-hour time period, but it was like Bahama Mamas and non-frozen drinks. I'm still going to go with the package esp. since we're at sea so long! Even if I don't get my money's worth -- which I doubt that will be the case -- at least I won't have that "bill" at the end of the cruise to worry about. More money to spend in the casino! PatC Posted January 29, 2010 #41 Share Posted January 29, 2010 Mrs. G - you have the recipe for my most favorite of all, the BBC. We found this little tidbit on a cruise a few years ago and a friend introduced me to it. Sadly on Galaxy a few years later I gained a whole lot of weight drinking them. Once I got home and didn't have them any more the weight fell off. Yes, I'll be drinking mine on Mercury in March. Of course, I'll cut down;) I'm getting the frozen drink package since I also love the non-alcoholic Strawberry Whip:p Seems every good one has cream:eek: Pat
