I read somewhere that all VT cabins that are on the observation deck only have balconies where you can only stand???

 

is this true?

 

what are the chances I will end up in one of these 10 cabins instead of a another balcony category?

It's true on the Eurodam. And there isn't much room for standing, either!

I understand that the same location cabins will have a full balcony, and a different category, on the Nieuw Amsterdam.

If you book a VE guarantee or higher there is no chance you will be assigned one. If you book a VF or VH Gty there is a possibility of getting one, but not a high chance IMO.
