Holland America is considering this an Inaugural because I got a Blue and White Delf Plate from my TA with the Oosterdam on it with the dates January 2005 and saying Inaugural Mexican Riviera January 2005. I will have to look at the plate and see if it has January 22 on it. I know it said January 2005. I did talk with my TA and she said they were not doing anything special so nothing she could hook me up for so I could get on board. Looks like my only options is sneeking into Dave's Carry on;) Oh yeah, I forgot I did not look enough weight this week.

Anyway, we plan to have an early dinner at Anthony's to watch the Oosterdam at Sail Away. So Dave I will be bidding you a BonVoyage in person:)

Just between you and me, I don't get to actually pack anything. I get to pick out the clothes I think I'll need, pile them on the bed in the guest room, then go away while DW handles the final choice and actual packing. She's up doing that right now. It seems to work out OK, as I've never had to go naked!

My DH never packs his own clothes, he doesn't even pick them out. If it were left to him, he'd have shorts, t-shirts, flip-flops, undies & swim trunks for the whole cruise. ;) Oh, and one Bronco and one Crush hat... a perfect place to perch his sunglasses.

Heather - You sound like my younger daughter, now. When she was about 4 thru 8 or 9, her older brother (2 years older) was constantly getting in trouble for hitting her, throwing pillows at her, etc. It was only much later that she admitted that she always provoked him to get the violent response so he'd be sent to his room and she could do whatever she wanted to in the playroom. Scientists call something like that a "catalyst", while diplomats call it an "instigator" :)

What is an IRON:confused: ????? Only kidding but I honestly have not ironed in years and definitely was never good at it. If it is not Permenant Press or can be hung up right out of the dryer with no wrinkles or a visit to the Dry Cleaners. It does not get worn.

I have my camera packed so I will take lots of pictures of her in port tomorrow and will take pictures of her sailing away. I can them email them to you when you return.

Yikes! I agree... yet DH can iron like there is no tomorrow - I just take the stuff to the cleaners and have them do it for me.

I am totally afraid to let my DH pack his own stuff - I did it once, for a long weekend, he brought 1 pair of socks... go figure. We had to go buy some more.

Well, I am sitting at Mc Carren Airport waiting to board. We have our name down for 4:30 dinner at Anthonys for tomorrow night so we may see you there.You already know what I look like :)

Dave, I am now in sunny San Diego, just had a nice dinner and a little champagne (my drink of choice) a beautiful day in San Diego. I few rows back from me on a Southwest flight I over heard some people talking about coming in a day early and they were going to board a cruise ship tomorrow morning, my guess the Oosterdam. I also saw a HAL rep with a sign as I was heading toward the shuttle bus for a rental car. Unforutately my Mariner Tag on my carry on did not get me any attention by the Rep.:( I plan to get up early and go over to the Zoo while DH works and then will see off the Oosterdam late in the afternoon. I really hope you have a wonderful cruise.

BTW I had an unbelievable line getting thru security in Las Vegas but no problems with using the lap top. Good WiFi at both the airport and here at the airport in the room.

Have a great cruise wish I could go with:D
