JohninDC Posted February 3, 2010 #2 Share Posted February 3, 2010 Close to POM is usually not cheap. Depending upon when you are travelling you may get lucky on Priceline or hotwire - look for 3 and 4 star properties downtown. If you are arriving late and just want a clean bed before getting on your cruise the next day, and you are not interested in nightlife, etc., then look for hotels out near the MIA airport. If you are driving to Miami be aware that all downtown Miami hotels will charge $20-30/day for parking. Give us some more information (dates, price range, number in your party, desires and interests, etc.) and the members contributing on this board will try to help you. Good luck!:)

trish1c Posted February 3, 2010 #4 Share Posted February 3, 2010 The best full price deals are at the hotels by the AP, which is about 20-25 minutes from the port. Try Priceline if you want to be closer to the port at a more affordable price.

JohninDC Posted February 7, 2010 #6 Share Posted February 7, 2010 January can be expensive. Jan2011 is way too early for Priceline. Look at hotels in the Blue Lagoon area near MIA - free airport shuttles, and there is a shopping mall across the street from the Hampton Inn with Grocery, drug and liquor stores;), as well as several dining options (Cuban, Italian, and Chinese, plus Starbucks and BK). There are several hotels in this area that may work for you - good luck!:)
