GSRDPM Posted February 6, 2010 #1 Share Posted February 6, 2010 My family will be sailing with Costa (Atlantica) for the first time in March '10 and on a prior cruise from FLL on RCL, we had an option to have the bags that were left outside the cabin on the last night of the cruise to be automatically transferred and checked in to our return flight ($20/bag). Does Costa offer such a service and if so what is the cost? (We have some extra time before our 3:30PM flight and have rented a car and it would better to self debark early with just carry-on luggage.) Rent the acr and take the luggage with you - at least you then know where it is. Ron
whatsnext Posted February 6, 2010 #3 Share Posted February 6, 2010 GSRDPM: Hi, you're on the wrong board! (smile) The last cruise we took out of FLL, we had several hours before we could check our luggage in with the airlines. They have a "holding room" of sorts, where you can check your bags and leave them until you are able to check them in with the airlines. It was $6 per bag, regardless of the size. We went to the airport from the ship, "stored" our luggage, and had the remainder of the day. When we got back to the airport, we picked them up and checked in. The holding room is in the main lobby, at the Delta check in. You still have to get them there, but it was cheaper than $20 per bag.
