Nightclubbing on the millennium

:cool:Having read many posts saying their isnt much life in celebrity nightclubs I am begining to feel a bit worried that we might be the only bods on the dance floor.

We arent particularly constant late nighters but like to have a bop now and then. Will we be on our own?

Hi,:) it really depends on the sailing. I see you are going in April and

I am guessing its a Caribbean cruise. I have sailed to the Caribbean

where there have been plenty of people dancing in the disco.

I bet April will have some other dancers due to the fact Spring Break

is still going on and so you might find quite a few other folks who

enjoy some nightlife too:D

I know many folks say the nightlife is dead but I have been on sailings

where things were alive:).....it seems each sailing can take on a life

of its own.

One our best cruises for dancing was on the Mercury. It really seems that ballroom dancing is roaring back into favour. We may not dance till dawn but there always seemed that we had no trouble to find a group out till 11:45 hen onto one of the lounges.

I am hoping our cruise on Millenium will be that way.

When we were on the Mercury last June, the nightclub was totally dead. That was Alaska, though.

ITF:

Millie will be fine at that time of the year. We will be on Millie 3/26 during vacation from school and it will be a younger crowd.. We also were disappointed with the Alaska nightlife. We were on two different lines on our two trips to Alaska. I have to admit it has to do with shore excursions and the middle-america crowd (sorry, but it is true). The casino was the same way on those ships. On-board revenue is much lower on those cruises and that is why the fares tend to be higher. This year there will be less ships in Alaska as well...

But on the Caribbean cruises (where you find a more party crowd) you will get the New Yorker's (we are Ex-NY'ers), Bostonians and the Washingtonians and that ship will be rocking and rolling... We have closed many a ships casino and disco -- Don't fret about it -- as LoisR said -- it really depends on who is on the ship that week.

Go and have a great time...

As others have said - the nightlife depends on the itinerary and passenger mix. Alaska and even Europe can be dead - after all, you have full day excursions starting early in the morning on port days. After you come back from 8 to 10 hours of touring, you really don't want to stay up late - especially knowing that you have to get up early the next morning to do it all over again. Most people do these Alaska, Europe, South America, etc. for the ports and sights.

The Caribbean seems to have more night life as the excursions are shorter in length and the crowd has more of an island party atmosphere.
