Question about CELEBRITIES' PORT AGENT in SANTORINI

I was looking at a DAILY that someone had posted about one of the Celebrity Eastern Mediterranean cruises last summer. The daily listed the name of the PORT AGENT FOR CELEBRITY CRUISE LINES in Santorini. What function does this port agent serve for the cruise line passengers visiting Santorini? Is he a contact person in cases of emergency?

Yes, you should always carry the contact information for the port agent when you go ashore (especially if you are not on a ship tour).

If you are late getting back and miss the boat, they can help you (although it is still basically your responsibility to get to the next port on your own).

If you KNOW you're going to be late, you can call them and they will retrieve your passport (if the ship has it or if it is in your cabin) and have it for you.

If there is a medical emergency, they can assist with that as well.
