Camera's in Dining Room

Recommended Posts

There were a lot of cameras in dining room last week on the Mariner. Everyone wants pictures of their waiter & asst waiters. They all sing and dance a couple of times a week. I have never seen anyone offended.

Heck, no! I think it's great to see cameras in the dining room, and all over the ship for that matter. Go for it.

And don't forget the ship's photographers will make at least a couple swings through, probably on formal nights. I think both of my cruises saw two visits from the photographers during the week. If they can make a buck, I'm sure you can make a memory for yourself.

The dining room staff is used to having their picture taken with the passengers. It's also quite common for people to take a photo of the other people they are sitting with.

Never have had a problem with a camera in the dining room. Have always asked for and received permission to shoot my tablemates (with the camera, of course )

I always bring my camera into the dining room to take pictures of my family. THen as the week progresses and we become friendly with more people who stop by our table, I take pictures of them too!

It's quite alright to bring cameras into the dining room, but be courteous of the other diners. On our last cruise, people were taking pictures standing up by our table and actually leaning on our chairs while we were eating -- very rude!

Happy Cruising,

When I was on the Mariner and we are at the Captains Table people were just walking up and taking pictures of us, not just the Captain but all of us normal folk that were eating with him. I remember the Captains wife was next to me and boy was she mumbling under her breath Just be courteouse

I too always take a camera, usually the last night and snap photos of tablemates, waiters, etc. One thing I found strange, last fall, DH and I had just been seated for dinner and a man (not a ship crew/staff, just another passenger) walked up and said, I want to take your picture and he snapped our picture before we could say anything. He said thanks and went on his way. Why this guy wanted a picture of us or what he did with it I'll never know. Just thought it was odd.
