Splendor 4A rooms?

Hi all...my wife & I don't spend much time in the room...(change clothes & sleep..that's about it) so an inside cabin is fine...but would at least like to avoid being right next to large equipment (elevator, laundry, under casino or night club).

We're really cheap (have to be this year) and looking at an ES on Splendor for 4A rooms.

Specific rooms offered are

1217, 1221, 1225, 1232, 1233...1244, 1248

All appear to be in the same area on Riviera deck.

We don't care about being at the bottom of the ship (in terms of getting to other areas of the ship)...I need my exercise!

Anyone have experience with the rooms in this section? Are they any different in terms of size, noisy, etc then 4B or 4C rooms?

(What's underneath these Riviera deck rooms?)

For example, some of the 4B rooms on Main deck appear to be directly underneath the main lounge stage

I was in 1290 (OV). It is a little further towards the center than you are looking at. We had no problems with the location. The Riviera deck is under the Main deck (which is also all cabins), so you don't have to worry about public area noises. The cabins are the same size.

The only problem that I can see for those cabins is that they are close to the front. You will feel more rocking in the front than in the middle or back.

Here is a website that you can look at the deck plans (remove the spaces between seas - CC replaces part of the website w/ asterisks).

http://www.s e a scanner.com/schiffe.php

When you look at the deck plans of the ship, go to "deck plan on full screen". There you can see the decks above and below the deck you want to be on. Just remember to line up the decks correctly (i.e. place the stairs under/over each other).

Hope this helps.

You might call up and get as near midship as you can, up toward the aft elevator. If you are all the way back, you will get more vibration. 4A is aft and foreward cabins, not midship, so you wouldnt be all the way midship, but enough that you will be great. I wouldnt pay extra to be midship.
