How's the Crown Plaza in Ft. Lauderdale?

Hey Cruisers.

I'm staying at the CP the night before my Ruby cruise on March 30th.

Never stayed there before. Any comments? Is it nice? Easy to get to and from the cruise port and airport?

We just passed the hotel (off of US1) on our way to our favorite restaurant (Southport Raw Bar) last week. It looks spanking new and very nice - I haven't been inside but have stayed in plenty of Crowne Plazas - I'm sure you won't be disappointed. It is probably 5 minutes drive from the port, 10 minutes (at the most) from the airport.

If you're inquiring about the Crown Plaza that's on State Rd 84 (SE 24th St), the hotel is brand new. It is only one block from the entrance of Port Everglades. The hotel looks very nice from the outside, but I don't know about the inside. Since it's new, I'd assume it was nice.
