Price of liquor in Aruba?

I have a friend who is going to Aruba with a small group for 5 days and wants to know if it would be better to pack liquor or to buy it there? If it is no more expensive than at home, she won't bother packing it.

I don't know about the price of liquor but a 6 pack of Balashi beer cost me $19 in a supermarket. :eek: I will never complain about the cost of beer in Canada again.

I haven't found the prices of anything to be too outrageous, considering it's an island and everything has to be brought in. We usually bring some wine with us, with no problem.

For groceries because they are shipped in, we figure about 25-30% higher.

You can get some good prices on South American wines.

I purchased it at a small market about 6 blocks from the pier and then checked again at a Chinese supermarket about a block off the street that runs parallel with the street that runs along the water and found almost the same price.
