Babysitting on Explorer of the Seas

Recommended Posts

We will be traveling on Explorer in April with our 2 year old and we are interested in using the babysitting service. I haven't seen to many people post any info. about the service and RCCL doesn't list any info. on their website about it. I am curious who the babysitters are. Are they just random staff on the ship or are they the crew from the child care area? What about the activities that are available for kids under 2. I know there is not much but it seems there are some activities that the parents can attend with the kids. Any info. would be great!

They are random staff (sounds bad, but it isn't!) who are willing to babysit for you....most are parents, themselves! I think the fee is $12 per hour paid in cash at time of service....make sure you request babysitting ASAP when you board...they aren't always available.

For the under 3 crowd, there are times when you can take your child to the playroom and use the toys...the times should be listed in the Compass.
