Recorded message telling when we can embark ???

We got a recorded message saying our embarkation time was between 2:00 and 4:00 on our Splendor cruise. I've not received one of these before -- is that something new? Does everyone get a call with different times? What time is usual for embarkation (Long Beach)? ???

It is cpossible they are doing a crew check or an inspection that will hold back embarkation by an hour or so. I went in September and I got the call too not show up before 2pm. I walked from the QM to drop my bags off and they said it was a crew check (visas) and that it would hold up embarkation. I was in the VIP/special boarding group and we were let on after the wedding party (who were adamant that they could take as much tme to board as they pleased..NOT!!!!) shortly after noon.
