1 nighter questions

Anyone take 1-night cruise to nowhere? We are planning a family reunion on the Jewel in Feb. I want to know if there are still several entertainment options, broadway style show, comedian etc.? And are all the restaurants open?

Anything else that is different?

Thank you!

There is still a main show in the evening, with several other entertainment options in various locations.

All restaurants will be open, and crowded. The casino will be extremely crowded.

I find the crowds on the 1 night cruises a bit louder than usual, with many small groups of people trying to fit all the activities from a regular cruise into just 1 night. :D

Got off one this January on the GEM. Was great, but like stated above - its packed. I mean you feel like its jammed eveywhere you go. Only reason is because everyone is trying to do everything in 1 night. It's a great time, but it does get crowded.

Casino opens. Shops open. All restaurants are open. Hot tubs are open. Pool is too IIRC. It's a great time though, I don't want you thinking its not - just have to go in there one with the mind set to not rush and to deal with the crowds:D

How big is the family? It may require getting to a venue early...or attending one prior to it in order to get seats together. I have only been on 1 one nighter and I remember hanging out in Spinnaker's Lounge for most of the evening.

Do you plan on all dining together? If yes, then know ahead of time where and when you want to eat. Then, make reservations once onboard immediately upon arrival.

For my family, we all ate embarkation lunch together in the main restaurant. We never made reservations as I was politely informed "they were there to party, not eat!"
