some people here are soo nasty in their comments
if you have nothing nice to say then why not button up
everyone has the right to say what they know or think and should not always be subjected to such critizism

I hope the rest of the cruise went well
and that the person who was seriously ill was ok

Val and Glenn

I did this comment after the serende one where the passenge was air lifted off to standford hospital and a couple posters were nasty

I thought this board was here to be helpful to others as well as ourselves and if you dont like what some one says try to be pleasant in your comment or no comment at all, and if you dont agree with the comment or wish to correct why not do it with out being so nasty or putting others down

sorry just my opinion

Well said, SilverVal. Now get ready to get flamed. Pleasant conversation is not only unwelcome, but will not be allowed. Keep being nice. Don't let them get to you.

I'll chime in for your nice comments and say I too thought some of the comments in the Serenade emergency were uncalled for.

Hi Val,
I remember "talking" with you a few months ago here when your kitty was so sick. Hope you are doing ok!

Hi Everyone,

Just went back over to the other thread. Geesh. People getting upset over the term Frisco. I live in Southern Cali. this has always been an issue with them. Please see my response back to them. I'm sure they are overly annoyed now. My uncle is sensitive to the Frisco issue too and I try my hardest to annoy him by using Frisco everytime.

What a hoot! I need to go back and read the Serenade emergency thread again.

I'm 5th generation Northern CA native, and my great-great-grandfather settled in the SF East Bay in 1852, so if anyone should feel protective about this area, it would be me. I could care LESS if people call it Frisco. I always laugh when some Bezerkly, or obvious SF thing is in the national news. I tell my DH, "only in the Bay Area", or "only in CA", and laugh.

That's the way to handle the cranky people on this board, also: with a sense of humor. Humor diffuses it all.

Happy cruising!

Hi catnip I have read a few of your posts since last fall,
I finally convinced hubby for us to get a new kitty in january, and he dotes over the kitten, who is now 8 months old and not looking like a kitten anymore.
we still miss Silver or cat we lost, she was soo original, but magic is holding his own. I trained Magic to run to the door when Glenn comes home from work, (I ;m home from work before him) heh heh Magic got the concept but lol he runs like bat out of hell when the key is in the lock but does not run to DH but runs fast out the door into the hallway of our condo place and runs down the hall
stops to see if we re following, and watching then he runs around the corner and runs down that hall then back again hoping to escap capture, loving his freedom. hubby is not impressed I laugh but now we cant leave the house without makign sure he has some can food or we have to fihgt with him to leave for work .
We are planning on going on the Jewel cruise Dec 4 2004
thanks for asking
hoping you re ok

Valerie from BC canada

When I visit CA (have a sister in "Frisco") the "natives" (not that there are many) seem to think that it is funny to say New Jiosey. They also think that we are all in the mafia. (Sopranoa syndrome)I tell them that not even people in New Jersey say Joisey.....
