We are interested in booking back to back cruises next summer out of Miami. I have the following options:

Option #1:

Cruise #1: 3 day on Carnival Imagination which goes to Nassau, Bahamas overnight.

Cruise #2: 5 day on Carnival Destiny which goes to Grand Turk, Half Moon Cay, Bahamas; and Nassau, Bahamas.

Option #2:

Cruise #1: 5 day on Carnival Destiny which goes to Ocho Rios, Jamaica; and Grand Caymans, Cayman Islands.

Cruise #2: 5 day on Carnival Destiny which goes to Grand Turk, Half Moon Cay, Bahamas; and Nassau, Bahamas.

Opinions please. Please note that Option 1 would require that Cruise 1 get back to port on schedule so that I can make Cruise #2, given that they are on different ships that arrive and leave port the same day. Option 2 of course cost several hundred more dollars but is still do-able.

I would go with option 2. I like the port variety. Especially if you can get the same cabin for both cruises, no need to pack. And if turn around day is like the recent B2B we took from Jacksonville, you get escorted off the ship to go through customs and get back on immediately. All-in-all it took us 30 minutes.

Correction to Option #2. It should read

Cruise #1: 4 day on Carnival Destiny which goes to Key West, Florida and Cozumel.

Cruise #2: 5 day on Carnival Destiny which goes to Grand Turk, Half Moon Cay, Bahamas; and Nassau, Bahamas.:o
