things to do after boarding early

DOD is Drink of the Day. Be careful; the ones in souvenir glasses cost a bit more. And the ones being carried around on trays could be less than icy cold.

But they're really pretty!

When we were on the AOS in December we asked about getting the drink of the day in a regular glass and was told that it would be the same price. It worked out that even with the souvenir glass, the drink of the day was still cheaper than buying most of the other drinks at regular price.

I generally just order my usual, scotch & soda!

Watch the dailies for specials ... you can often get a cheaper drink in the casino, and then take it wherever you'd like.

The DOD is often loaded with sugary fruit juices, very good I'm sure, but more calories than I can handle! (I save those for dessert ... )

But seriously, thtalks is so right, do check out your table in the MDR.

It's much easier to change it that afternoon rather than the next day, if you weren't given what you asked for in the first place.

And as Havingfun noted, exploring the ship is fun, too.

DOD, eat, wear a bathing suit under your street clothes, and then jump into a chair near the pool and get an early start on that sunburn, I mean tan!:D

Good plan! Relax by the pool, watch new arrivals and enjoy the fact you've already started your vacation. ;)

I ditto S10Catman....eat a late breakfast, and you can skip the eating frenzy in the WJ...head straight for the pool!

Don't forget to call your friends in Va. and gloat a bit about how you're sitting by the pool, having a drink!

I was first on the Grandeur a week ago today, 11:00 AM. Too early for lunch, so we changed into our bathing suits in the Fitness Center Locker Room, and spent two quiet hours in the solarium. They even opened the roof for us! Very nice!
