I understand that the #7 bus goes to the South

shore beaches but does it stop at the Gibb's Hill Lighthouse on the way?

Are there any lockers at Horseshoe Beach to leave wallets etc.?

How far is the bus terminal in Hamilton from Front Street?

Is the bus terminal in St Georges centrally located?

We were thinking of stopping at the lighthouse before we hit the beaches or do you think it is better to get to Horseshoe Beach as early as possible?

We would like to take the beach path between beaches. Is the path from the bus route to Warwick beach longer or shorter than the path to Horseshoe Beach?

DoggyDaddy asked: ...I understand that the #7 bus goes to the South

Answer: Yes, the #7 inbound bus goes by the south shore beaches, and if it is a local bus and not the special direct to HSB bus, you can ask the bus driver to drop you at the stop closest to GHL.

and asked: ...How far is the bus terminal in Hamilton from Front Street?....

Answer: My guesstimate is about a little more than 1/4 mile, uphill.

and asked: ...Is the bus terminal in St Georges centrally located?....

Answer: I've always boarded the bus at a stop on the Duke of York St. It is easy to find because the people gather there.

and asked: ....We were thinking of stopping at the lighthouse before we hit the beaches or do you think it is better to get to Horseshoe Beach as early as possible?.....

Answer: When I did it, I did l/h then the beach. I think HSB is big enough for most crowds unless you want to be by the snack bar.

and finally  asked: ...We would like to take the beach path between beaches. Is the path from the bus route to Warwick beach longer or shorter than the path to Horseshoe Beach? ...

Answer: The path from WB appears to be shorter but HSB has a jitney ($2pp) for a ride to South Rd. There is steep hill at HSB, going down is not the problem, walking back up is. To view this, I recently posted a link to a satellite map with directions.
