New Orleans--Park at Holiday Inn Superdome or pier?

I am leaving on Triumph June 26. Soon! I can say free at Holiday Inns, there are 3 I am looking at in NO. Superdome, Express at Bourbon St and the Holiday Inn French Qtr on Royal Street. If I stay at the superdome, I can park for the week for $28. If I stay at one of the other ones (leaning toward French Quarter on Royal), will leave from there and park at the pier. My daughter and I will be coming in Friday afternoon and going to the French Qtr, Bourbon St area to look around and get something to eat. What should I do for hotel and parking, any good ideas? Thanks!

I booked the Holiday Inn Superdome last week for $112.87 (total charge for one night) and that included FREE parking for the duration of our 5-day cruise! You may want to contact them directly to get this rate. That's what I did! And the hotel will shuttle you TO the port for free as well!

We also booked this hotel for our May cruise with the same rate, but we are staying 2 nights prior to the cruise. This rate also includes full breakfast and also has free shuttle to all the local areas too.

I booked for $99.99 for free parking. They have another cruise special which includes breakfast for $5 a day parking. Shuttle to the port but not back to the hotel.

Im figuring I can walk to the French Qtr from the Superdome/Downtown location.

I did notice there is a $19.99 parking charge for the first night on my reservation, they didnt mention on the phone. So, its more like $119.99 plus tax imo.

I wonder why I had to choose between either free cruise parking or parking $5 a day and free breakfast.

My rate doesnt include breakfast. They didnt offer me both free cruise parking and free breakfast both. Maybe because I booked so late.

You would have to pick one of the two, that is just what they are offering. I think when we booked ours, they were only offering the one with the free breakfast (2 people). I guess either one is pretty much equal if you think about it. As you only get "2" free breakfasts.

$5 a day X 7 days = $35 more to get breakfast. Ill find breakfast in the area. Doesnt look like they have coffee pots in the rooms.
