BNguy Posted April 17, 2010 #1 Share Posted April 17, 2010 I think I know the answer to this but here goes. My first (and so far only) cruise on Holland America was in 2005 when my wife and I cruised on the 17 day Hawaii cruise out of Seattle on the Amsterdam. We went in a Deluxe Veranda Suite (S). When they changed the Mariner program I read where you would receive double credit if you went in a suite, should I not have received double credits for that cruise or as I suspect is it only for cruises taken after the new program started. Thanks for any clarification, I suspect it's just wishful thinking of my part. Have a good day
English_in_Spain Posted April 17, 2010 #2 Share Posted April 17, 2010 Yes, the double points for suites is just for cruises after the new scheme started. I wish we could get retrospective double points. If we could we would be well over 200 now
Atomica Posted April 17, 2010 #3 Share Posted April 17, 2010 No doubt HAL did that for a reason; otherwise I think they'd have a HUGE contingent of four-star Mariners - though I suspect they already do ;) I'm just happy to be a two-star!
Krazy Kruizers Posted April 17, 2010 #4 Share Posted April 17, 2010 If HAL did do the program retroactive we would be well over 900 days.
sail7seas Posted April 17, 2010 #5 Share Posted April 17, 2010 Same for us.... Would be GREAT if the double days and credit for spending was retroactive. We have 39 more days in Suite booked for this year and already have bookings for 2011. With all those doubled, the days add up fast. We'd have been Platinum long ago.
