Question re Trip Insurance and how an Amtrak connection would work ...

Thinking about taking Amtrak to Baltimore for the Pride. We will obviously book with significant room for error, but I do worry - what if the train broke down resulting in our missing the ship? The travel insurance terms I have seen talk about covering you if you are in a traffic accident on the way to the ship, but that of course wouldn't apply. Any insights/suggestions?

I would also like to know how this would work as well as hear from anyone who has taken Amtrak to get to the Pride.
