There are many options, the closet is the Queen Mary which is right next to the Carnival port.

Does anyone know how far the Hilton is from the Carnival Port? Is it within walking distance? Online it looks to be a fair walk.....

Long Beach has a wonderful free bus system that is easy to use. The Queen Mary is the only hotel within walking distance to the Carnival port. Stay there and use the free bus to get around Long Beach.

You will love Long Beach. Its a great place. Do the ghost tour of the Queen Mary though....just don't stand in the shower stall of the 1st class swimming pool...:eek:

The Hilton has a free shuttle to the port.

Do you have to pre-arrange for the shuttle to the port? We booked the Carnival rate, do I need to call them and make sure we can get a FREE shuttle the morning of the cruise or anything?

Too far to walk and there may not be a walk way along the street you would need to travel.

The Hilton also has a free shuttle to and from Long Beach airport. My only concern would be debarking from the ship and then having to wait for the shuttle. Not sure how reliable it is.

2.8 miles shortest. 3.3 the more likely route. Neither looks like a pleasant walk for constricted bridges and right-of-ways but I've never been there so.......

We stayed at the Hyatt Regency 10 days ago. Convenient to a ton of restaurants and services. Got on Priceline for $60 and it was excellent value.
