Princess Luggage Tags Question

I just printed off our luggage tags for our upcoming cruise and I noticed that below where it says "Diamond Princess" it says "AP". What does the "AP" mean? Just curious, thanks

The point on the ship where the luggage gets loaded on.

Yours would be aft, is your cabin toward the aft area?

And FP would be the forward area.

We are midship in two weeks, so our luggage tags have an FP on them.

Yes if you don't print them yourselves you can get them form the porters at the pier.

Like everybody says, it is where the will load and deliver your bags -

AP = aft, port

FS = forward, starboard

FS = forward, starboard

The AP and FS on the luggage tag also helps with the pre-sorting when the bags are still on the dock. They then go to either the aft or forward service elevators and the P or S helps to quickly identify whether the luggage goes to port or starboard. This makes the luggage distribution a lot more efficient so that you get your luggage as quickly as possible.

For tomorrow on the Ocean Princess, I have FP and our cabin is towards the front and on the port side.
