CALMOM Posted May 5, 2010 #1 Share Posted May 5, 2010 I just printed off our luggage tags for our upcoming cruise and I noticed that below where it says "Diamond Princess" it says "AP". What does the "AP" mean? Just curious, thanks

Toto2Kansas Posted May 5, 2010 #3 Share Posted May 5, 2010 We are midship in two weeks, so our luggage tags have an FP on them.

Pam in CA Posted May 6, 2010 #9 Share Posted May 6, 2010 Like everybody says, it is where the will load and deliver your bags - AP = aft, port FS = forward, starboard The AP and FS on the luggage tag also helps with the pre-sorting when the bags are still on the dock. They then go to either the aft or forward service elevators and the P or S helps to quickly identify whether the luggage goes to port or starboard. This makes the luggage distribution a lot more efficient so that you get your luggage as quickly as possible.
