My husband and I are going to be celebrating our 28th anniversary onboard the Milli in June. Does anyone know if the cruise line (Celebrity) does anything special to help celebrate?

Hi

We celebrated our 29th anniversary last year on Solstice. We booked Murano for dinner. We had got to know a waitress in the Ensemble Lounge just outside, and she alerted the staff in Murano that it was our anniversary. They came out to the lounge and escorted us inside to a great table for two, and spent the rest of the night making sure we had a lovely time. Every staff member who came to our table knew it was our anniversary and congratulated us. At dessert time, the Maitre D' brought the most delightful little chocolate mud cake to the table and gave us a little speech about how great it was that we had allowed them to serve us on this special occasion. The cake was fantastic but we couldn't eat much (too full). The whole atmosphere was delightful - both of us hate a fuss, but they did this with some real degree of finesse so we didn't feel like it was cheesy or insincere. It was a great night.

There are decoration packages that you can order, and the steward will decorate your room with that.

In the dining room, be sure and tell your head waiter which night is Anniversary. The waiters will sing and they will bring your table a cake to celebrate.

Hope This Helps.

Sorry, this is five years ago on Summit. They had a special reception in the afternoon of a sea day for all couples celebrating an anniversary. They served champagne and cake and the captain, some officers, and members of the activity staff were there as well.

They did this same thing on Mercury 4 years ago (our 35th). We received an invitation in the cabin (when booking we marked that we were celebrating our anniversary). The event was also listed in the daily. I was amazed at how many were there in attendance!! I guess it doesn't matter when your anniversary is, just that you are celebrating it sometime that year! (And that's OK - some can't take the cruise ON their anniversary) They had a beautiful cake, and some wedding decor (it was for honeymooners and anniversaries). Of course the photographer was there to take your picture with the cake and flowers.

Also in the MDR they brought a chocolate cake to the table and sang to us. Personally I think the chocolate cake they bring to the MDR is the worst dessert they offer, but the gesture is nice.

We are celebrating our 40th on a cruise in March and we did not mark on the booking that we are celebrating our 40th. I think that Maree's cruise anniversary celebration was much more what we would prefer.

However you celebrate, have a very happy anniversary!

We are having our 50th nov 25 ,2011 . We will be with our adult children ,grandchildren & great grand children at a restaurant near where they live .Then either before of after our official celebration with family memebers we will delebrate on a Celebrity cruise.

We do 3-4 cruises/land trips each year & being retired we are completely flexible to dating of the cruises

Due to scheduling problems, we could not schedule our cruise to exactly coincide with our Anniversary - Our 35th. I guess we'll just pick a night and tell them we are celebrating on that particular evening?! I don't think it matters all that much - it's the thought and the sentiment that counts!

My husband and I went to Bermuda on our honeymoon 35 years ago, and we had always said we had to go back there again - you know the old story! Anyhow, I decided, when planning a cruise, that we would go this year, and we are very much looking forward to it and very excited!!

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TO ALL OF YOU OTHER COUPLES CELEBRATING THEIR 'SPECIAL DAY'!!

We are sailing on our 40th anniversary on this June 13th. I can't decide if we need any official recognition; or maybe it needs to just be our private little celebration. We can make just sailing away on a beautiful ship together on our special day be our celebration. Wish it was going to be longer than 7 nights....

We will be celebrating our 50th anniversary on May 29 while on the Celebrity Century. Our son is accompanying us on this special cruise. Our first cruise was on the old QE2 to celebrate our 25th anniversary and it was just wonderful. I hope this cruise and celebration will be just as great. What do you think? Should we plan ahead for our 75th?

Congratulations on your big milestone anniversary! You will have a wonderful cruise on Century. Absolutely start planning for the 75th, but don't forget to celebrate the anniversaries in between! You can't cruise too much.

Thanks for the good wishes Smiling Angel for all of us celebrating the many long years we have been married to the same person. We will be celebrating our 40th - not actually sailing on that date - but this is our present to each other and can't wait!

Franie - love and joy to you and of course celebrate that 75th!!!!!

Hi Franie! We celebrate 28 years this May 29th! (Good day to get married, we think!:)) We cruise on the Summit on the 30th. I asked the T/A to note to Celebrity that we would like to celebrate on the 30th.

Yes, plan that 75th, but I don't think reservations are open yet for sailings in 2035!
