Hurricane Season?

We have booked a Canada/New England cruise for October 10 - 22nd, 2011, starting in Quebec City, ending in Ft. Lauderdale. Has anyone experienced really foul weather at this time - not sure when hurricane season is. We are thinking of tacking on an Eastern Caribbean 7 day, is this a good idea or should we rethink?:confused:

hurricane season is june - end of november, so it is possible. buy insurance, and make sure it covers weather. worst case is that your itinerary would be altered to avoid storms.

Though no one can predict when hurricanes will form and where hurricanes will be, the last major hurricane to hit south Florida and specifically Ft Lauderdale was Hurricane Wilma on 10/24/2005 !

The peak of hurricane season is September.

I've cruised mostly in November, though we did sail out once on Oct. 31!

I'd tack on the 7-day cruise in a heartbeat!

Add the 7 day cruise. We did this cruise last fall from Quebec City to Fort Lauderdale and wished we'd stayed on for the next cruise. The weather was fine for our cruise.
