okgirl Posted May 27, 2010 #4 Share Posted May 27, 2010 I don't want to rain on the parade and I wish it were true, but that is a webshot of the ROV camera not the blowout tube. It was looking good this morning though since the output had turned from dark black oil to a lighter brown more liquidy flow.

smd1234 Posted May 27, 2010 #17 Share Posted May 27, 2010 Live feed from BP website. ROV arm in picture right now. Is the flow still oil/gas or is some of it the drilling mud they're pumping in? http://www.bp.com/liveassets/bp_internet/globalbp/globalbp_uk_english/homepage/STAGING/local_assets/bp_homepage/html/rov_stream.html
Rhysma Posted May 27, 2010 #18 Share Posted May 27, 2010 What you see coming out is drill mud...when cementing commences you may see some color/viscosity change(similar to the changes when drillmud relaced the oil and gas).
JerseyshoreBruce Posted May 27, 2010 #19 Share Posted May 27, 2010 They said it will be days before they know if its gonna work.......so all you see is just speculation now!

going2cruz Posted May 27, 2010 Author #22 Share Posted May 27, 2010 Its drill mud coming out now...the early reports came in this morning when they ran out of drill mud and when that happen well flow was near zero. They had another ship coming with drill mud and that's why you again see flow. The early article pulled by the coast guard said if pressure would have equalize they would have poured the cement. Its all still mechanical and for PR I think BP has to 100 percent certain before they claim success. Lets pray ....I have a good feeling this will be over Sunday and our CRUISE GROUNDS can begin to be cleaned up.
