Free WiFi in Montreal and Quebec City?

Recommended Posts

Anyone have any ideas for free WiFi in Montreal and Quebec City?

Tim Horton's?

Starbuck's?

Starbucks WiFi is now a Bell mobility service and is not free straight out but if you have a Starbucks card with a remaining balance, teh serial numbers on the card will allow you to log in for 2 hours of access per day for free. Buy a card with $5 to $10 value loaded, have a coffee and get your wifi for free.

Boston Pizza restaurants offer free WiFi I believe, as does La Cage aux Sports, however for the latter you need to be previously registered with an account on their website.

You can get free wi fi connection at the cruise terminal at Qubec when you come off the ship, same at Prince Edward Island and I think Sydney. Halifax has a coffee shop just down the road from port buy a coffee and you have an hours free wi fi.

Well, I'm home again. Free WiFi in Montreal was much more limited than I am used to.

My hotel, the Inter-Continental had miserable WiFi and it cost $15 a day. The service for that was so bad that I got the charges removed from my bill.

I love Montreal and will return, but I didn't enjoy the WiFi situation.
