Pompeii excursion?

just wondering if anyone can recommend a guide/company for a day trip to Pompeii out of Rome? (one that they have had personal experience with) we will be there 4 or 5 days before leaving on the Mariner...Thanks

I have not done this particular tour with them, but Context Rome offers such a tour for the day. I have been highly impressed with the tours I've taken with them in Rome; I'm sure the Pompeii trip would be just as great. Not inexpensive though....

I do not have any personal experience with this company,but they were prompt in their replies. They do not offer a tour, just the transportation from rome to pompei. It is actually only 20 dollars per person more than the train, and they can take groups from 6-16 passengers. Check it out
