Beach near Livorno?

It depends on how you define "easy" and "near".

The short answer is "no"; Livorno is an industrial port and the beaches just north and south of it are not bathing beaches. The coastline just north, at Pisa, is loaded with refineries. To the immediate south the coastline is gravel, not really bathing beaches.

To find a sandy beach, suitable for children, you really need to go south to Marina di Bibbona (about an hour), or north to Viareggio (forty five minutes to an hour, by car).
