new kiwi girl Posted June 12, 2010 #1 Share Posted June 12, 2010 I know this may seem like a strange question, but I make jewelry from glass beads that I make in a torch, and import silver beads and findings to complete my pieces. I've got a day in Istanbul, and of course plan on going to the grand Bazaar, and so wondering if anyone remembers seeing real silver beads etc for sale there. Or if you saw them elsewhere in the main tourist part of Istanbul? Can anyone help me out here?
maryann ns Posted June 12, 2010 #2 Share Posted June 12, 2010 If you google the words "silver beads jewelry istanbul" you will find what you are looking for. There is so much jewelry made and sold there that there have to be the parts and pieces you are looking for. We wandered the streets between the bazaar and the spice market and found lots of shops selling things such as buttons, buckles, etc. Maybe a block or so away would be shops catering to jewelers.
