Amerisuites in Ft. Lauderdale downtown?

How is this hotel for a one night precruise? Clean? Close to restaurants and shopping center? Any input would be appreciated!!! :) :) :)

Its great for one night. Yes, Outback Steakhouse, Delrio Tex Mex right next door. Additional restaurants and shops in the shopping center next door.

hi, I have stayed there...back in 2003....and will be staying there again next month:D

 

When are you sailing?.......I could not find any other hotels in this price range....but there are PLENTY to choose from, Embassy Suites, Renaissance, Hyatt, 2 Marriotts......just for example.

 

I got a room for Amerisuites on Hotwire...including taxes 85.00....I am VERY PLEASED:)

Not sure if you have Amerisuites booked already or when you need it but until the end of April you can book it at http://www.valuetrips.com for $99.00

 

I have booked it as such as a backup hotel for my April 23 Jewel cruise. Have been bidding on Priceline hoping to secure Marriott Marina but so far no luck.

 

I have also stayed at this hotel before in 2003 as well. Just want to be closer to the water taxi stop at Marriott Marina and stay at a 3 star hotel.

Bargeo, yes, it is a safe area to walk around. You should have no problems at all, but regardless where you travel always be aware of your surroundings.

Thanks again everyone!! Hi Lois, we are not cruising until January. I always plan WAY ahead......lol. Like to have everything well planned and prepared when we step foot on that georgeous ship.
