chaching Posted July 26, 2010 #4 Share Posted July 26, 2010 Do you think the food and drinks are worth the money? Or should we head down to Jack's Shack?
MamaParrotHead Posted July 28, 2010 #5 Share Posted July 28, 2010 Do you think the food and drinks are worth the money? Or should we head down to Jack's Shack? I've eaten at the one in Ocho Rios and had drinks at a few others. Food isn't anything spectacular, that's for sure. Not bad, but not worth what you'll pay. I think I read on here someone was paying over $9 for a virgin fruit smoothie. No thanks. Our plan is to pop in for a tshirt and head down to Jack's. ;)
wantocruisemore Posted July 29, 2010 #6 Share Posted July 29, 2010 Actually from the menu the prices don't look that bad and there is a large selection. Anybody tried the Shrimp Salad or Fajitas? And does Jack's Shack have food or just drinks???
Jugador30 Posted July 29, 2010 #7 Share Posted July 29, 2010 Jack's Shack has a limited food menu. Hamburgers, cheeseburgers, hot dogs, italian sausages, and jerk chicken. Sometimes they will have some special items like the conch. A lot of people swear by the jerk chicken. We will be stopping in Grand Turk in September. Wife saw pictures of the Cruise Center, Margaritaville, and the pool area and wants to hang out there. I need to work on convincing her to go to Jack's, hang out on the beach, drink some reasonably priced drinks, and try some jerked chicken. Screw franchises. Piratelooks@50 Posted June 15, 2013 #8 Share Posted June 15, 2013 I found this on their website: http://www.margaritavillecaribbean.com/rest_menus.html Hope you have a wonderful time! Thanks for posting the menu. Any idea about prices for 2013? Going to Grand Turk.
sail7seas Posted June 15, 2013 #9 Share Posted June 15, 2013 We had bloody mary's at Margaritaville and thought them a bit pricey. The drinks were better on the ship and a better price IMO. We never bothered with lunch there.
beachbride91011 Posted June 16, 2013 #10 Share Posted June 16, 2013 The drinks are way over priced. For 2 margaritas in blender mug and a bottle of beer it was $52.00.
headhunterke Posted June 17, 2013 #11 Share Posted June 17, 2013 If you're going to Grand Turk, I'll take Jack's Shack over Margaritaville at any time. After all, there's a Margaritaville in almost every port you'll visit.
