janines Posted June 19, 2010 #1 Share Posted June 19, 2010 Here is a list of fishn chips places I have researched or visited in London in past visits. Please give me your suggestions on price/quality of each place: North Sea Fish Leigh St (i've been here) Traditional Plaice Leathers Lane The Fish Club Claphman High St Geales Notting Hill Gate Seafresh Any other suggestions? Thanks, janines
Globaliser Posted June 20, 2010 #2 Share Posted June 20, 2010 Any other suggestions?Masters Superfish on Waterloo Road. There have been a few mentions of this here over the last year or so, which prompted us to actually go and try it (rather than just listening to cabbies tell us how good it is) - and we've been back more than once since then. Globaliser Posted June 20, 2010 #4 Share Posted June 20, 2010 Sadly, too often like this: Good fish and chips is therefore good to find.
lord of the seas Posted June 20, 2010 #5 Share Posted June 20, 2010 Masters Superfish on Waterloo Road. There have been a few mentions of this here over the last year or so, which prompted us to actually go and try it (rather than just listening to cabbies tell us how good it is) - and we've been back more than once since then. I like this place. The trick is to go when the cabbies are not there,a bit too noisey for me.
princessebird Posted June 20, 2010 #6 Share Posted June 20, 2010 We went to Masters Superfish a few weeks ago on our first trip to London. It was really tasty. I'm not much of a fish person, so I had the chicken and it was really tasty too. The service was a little brusque, but I kinda think it added to the atmosphere. It is also just a short walk away from the Imperial War Museum, which I think is worthy of a visit.
Joy2theWorld Posted June 21, 2010 #7 Share Posted June 21, 2010 The place that has come very highly recommended by a Londoner is The Golden Hind. We'll be trying it in a few weeks!
