The Boatyard...we were there Dec 2007, be prepared if you have young teens- if they dare, they will be served alcohol.

The food is not good and you'll wait 40+ minutes from when you order.

I came to the Barbados boards b/c we will be back this December and want to make sure we have plans other than the Boatyard..

I do admit, the water was beautiful, the sand clean and it was a memorable day.

Cruisediva the drinking age in Barbados is sixteen and it is the responsibility of the parents to monitor their childrens drinking habits, it is not fair to blame any establishment if you have not done a good job training your children.

Barbados is a sovereign foreign country.

We have our own rules, laws and customs just as Jersey does.

When children ***are with their parents***, the drinking age is 10 and up.

We believe that the parents know best.

Don't you agree?

I couldnt beleive I got asked for ID in orlando and im 33! yet when I was 13 I came to barbados for a day and was served alcohol. Ive been buying it here in the uk since I was 15 ( they insist on ID now to prove you're 18)

Its not the end of the world if your kids have a few drinks, come on they're on holiday! Id buy my teen a cocktail, she's sensible enothe
