LAX luggage check in

I know at some airports you can't check your baggage in until a certain number of hours before flight(2 hours at one airport). Is this also the case at LAX? We will probably be at the airport about 4 hours before our flight and I really don't want to have to drag our checked luggage with us until we can check it in. If you have to wait then I think we will use the luggage valet on the ship.

I have had no problem checking it in 4 hours before our flight at LAX.

Depends on what airlines and if it is international.

For Southwest, it's 4 hours before flight.

The flight is domestic on Air Tran.

The Air Tran web site shows 4 hours or less for check in.
