AB booking a HC cabin?

Update on our situation - we're cruising with elderly parents, one that walks with a cane and one that uses a scooter for distance (and sometimes full-time, depending on how she is doing).

They had decided very close to the sail date (<90 days out) to go with us, and i had to book them a room that was not accessible. However, i sent an email to the special needs dept, and received a call back today confirming that their reservation was being changed to an accessible room. Since i was previously told that there were none available, i'm assuming that either someone canceled very late (final payment for this cruise is just 3 days out), or they actually moved someone out of an HC based on need.

Very happy with the responsiveness of Carnival staff on this one.
