shamr0ck Posted July 8, 2010 #26 Share Posted July 8, 2010 Update on our situation - we're cruising with elderly parents, one that walks with a cane and one that uses a scooter for distance (and sometimes full-time, depending on how she is doing). They had decided very close to the sail date (<90 days out) to go with us, and i had to book them a room that was not accessible. However, i sent an email to the special needs dept, and received a call back today confirming that their reservation was being changed to an accessible room. Since i was previously told that there were none available, i'm assuming that either someone canceled very late (final payment for this cruise is just 3 days out), or they actually moved someone out of an HC based on need. Very happy with the responsiveness of Carnival staff on this one.
Quampapetet Posted July 8, 2010 #27 Share Posted July 8, 2010 The rules are going to change in November to make it easier for disabled ppl to get accessible cabins!!!! I'll post another thread about it in a second....
