Since it is US area, do they eliminate the casino on this itinerary. My father enjoys the slots, so just wonderng about casino availability.

Also does menu change to reflect Hawaii area more??

Thanks.

I can't remember one "Hawaiian" food offering, and the casino is only closed while docked.

Oh that's good. I was told the casino was also closed in the evenings when the ship was between Hawaiian ports.

When we did the Honolulu to Vancouver in 2003 and the Honolulu to Ensenada in 2006, the casinos were open in the evenings (at least 1 hour after leaving port) after we got to international waters (12 miles out I think) and of course on sea days.

If I remember right NCL America got rid og the casinos since they were to be American flagged ships sailing American ports and since they would be homeports in Hawaii and Hawaii has no gambling ....... therefor no casino.

I do not remember a Hawaiian themed buffet for the deck party, it might have been Mexican like they do even for the Alaska cruises, which Jessica and I thought was a hoot!

The one thing they did that we enjoyed was when we boarded in Honolulu in 2003 we were greeted by a male & female dressed native, greeted with actual flower leis and kissed on the cheeks ....... Mom thought that was such a nice touch. Didn't do it for the 2006 sailing though ...... maybe too expensive to buy 2,000+ flower leis? Will never know.

...just skimmed through to try to catch up!! :)

I ws always told they were rip offs, but the one on the Brady Bunch looked so cool!

LOL!! :D

Good morning, everyone.

Since there haven't been any more votes, I'm officially calling us the "MOANA MALIHINIS" as that name got the most votes (7).

As I'm graphically challenged (among other things ), if there is someone who can create a banner for our group, that would be wonderful. Please try to include a photo of slippahs in the banner, the date and the ship, and maybe some info on the cruise - "15 day Hawaii" or "round-trip Hawaii", etc.

Also, if we want t-shirts, we'll need something for that. As an official CC group, any t-shirt design needs to include CC's logo and website address on the t-shirt. We'll also need to send a copy of the design to CC for review. They are just looking for anything that might reflect negatively on CC (which, of course, ours won't :D), so there shouldn't be a problem with this.

If no one can do a banner, I'll see what I can come up with.

I love the name and love all the shirt options :D

I love that I can look forward to this even more!! :D

Lei down your slippahs!

Good one!! :D

You know you have to book this, right Pete???????

Marci

Hi, Marci. I recognized your name from the Panamaniacs. I know we didn't get to spend much time together on that cruise, but I'm glad you'll be along on this one. I think we might get a couple more Panamaniacs (besides Lorna and Jess) along, too.

Just wondering??---To the folks who already booked their cabin for this cruise-How did you book when the group rates are not out yet?? Did you just book with Carnival at their regular rates?

One year out is about the farthest I have ever booked anything so it is hard for me to think about April 2012 now!

I do like this one myself.

Hon2u - do you have a copy you can post without the other things around it? I think I'll use this one in my signature block. :D For anyone else, if you want to use it, all you have to do is copy and paste the banner into your signature block.

This cruise is open for booking by anyone, it's just the group rates that we don't have yet, so anyone already booked did book directly through Carnival or a TA.

As group leader, my policy is that this roll call is open to anyone who is going on the cruise, not just those booked through the "official" group, so that's why you'll find people here who have their cabins booked already. The only thing people not booked through the group don't get are the amenities the group rate includes.

I know 2012 is a long way off, but this cruise is one I really wanted to do as soon as I heard it was available, so I don't mind booking this far in advance. :D

I love this pic...if I get a vote:)

That's my fave too :D! Oh my gosh, I am so nervous waiting for pricing! I want to take this cruise so badly, to the point of booking and not exactly telling my DH once I do... :o I want at least an 8A on this cruise!

THANKS , Sandy for the info. My DH is the one who always drags his feet a bit. I would really like to do the cruise as he doesn't like to fly and this would be a great way to get back to Hawaii WITH him.

I suppose I'll just hang out here and keep mentioning it to him until he caves in!:p:cool:

I am working the next couple of days (I do temp work), so I won't be able to check my emails until I get home, just in case anyone is waiting to hear if I've heard anything.....:D :D

And, from my experience, group pricing usually has an 8B as the balcony guarantee.

This sailing seems to be popular already judging by the roll call thread that is going already. Prices can only go up from here so I'm glad Sandy jumped on this one!

Can't wait to get this one booked :D
