CKDoodle Posted July 2, 2010 #1 Share Posted July 2, 2010 Hi! We are looking at Alaska for next July with about 15 people (adults and kids). Was wondering if the Sapphire has a covered pool? If not, does the Golden? I couldn't find that info anywhere. Thanks! Carrie

Loonbeam Posted July 2, 2010 #4 Share Posted July 2, 2010 The Calypso pool is listed as having a retractable glass dome? This from Cruisecheap.com: Calypso Reef and Pool: A visual tour of the Calypso Reef and Pool reveals many wonders: palm trees, impressive columns with colorful reliefs, graceful, curving lines and a conservatory level topped by a retractable glass dome. Can't get the virtual tour to work tho. Cruisecritic's main review says the same: The indoor Calypso Reef & Pool, covered by a retractable crystal magradome, is decorated in a coral reef motif, while Neptune's Reef & Pool, a spacious open-air area with colorful mosaics and lots of space for tanning, fills the ship's full-size outdoor pool requirement (both are located on the Lido deck). Colo Cruiser Posted July 3, 2010 #6 Share Posted July 3, 2010 I just call it an inside pool. They never open it. :(
