Beer in Antguia

Hello My wife and I will be visiting, and I always try the local beers. Can anyone suggest a locally produced beer. Thank you, John:D

BREWED on island: Red Stripe, Guiness (strong alchohol content), Carib and the local beer Wadadli (pronounced "wa dad lee").

Look for Wadadli Gold if you can find it John (cans), rather than regular Wadadli. I think it tastes better.

 

Glad you like local brew. There are a few imports but not a lot. If you go to an Italian restaurant, for example, they don't have Italian beer. Not allowed to bring it in.

I liked Carib and Wadadli. Liked Carib better if I recall. Onliest problem is the bottles are too small! :( Best I recall they were like 10 oz.

Do try The "W" brand. Its good! I try to have a local brew wherever we go too. One of the best I ever had was Fiji bitter. man that was good. However you can get it stateside, at least in the midwest where I live.

The local beer, Wadadli, is remarkably similar in taste to Heineken. When I was there in 2009, it came in standard 12-oz green glass bottles.

Correction, I checked my label collection and the Wadadli bottle was only 10 oz, as a previous poster stated. Have two.:D
