Hi ... we are booked for an Alaskan cruise in mid September of 2010 and are assigned to what is referred to as "Deluxe Ocean View Stateroom" - room 04-8163" Why is it referred to as Deluxe - as the brochure only list it as Ocean View?

Thank you

:) It being on a higher deck is correct, but it is also the way the room is configured. The headboard of the bed is not under the window in the Deluxe cabin, the bed runs the width of the cabin, not the lenght. We have 11 sailings on the Mercury and when we book ocean view we always book Deluxe Ocean View they just feel larger, cat, 3, 4, or 5., they are set up just like a veranda cabin with out the veranda.

Hope this helps!:)

Hi, just came across your post. Are you sailing from Vancouver on Sept. 19th?

If so had you thought of joining the roll call and signing up for the "meet and greet" party on board the ship. We have 28 people signed up so far so the party is a "go".

Sheila.
