Monte Carlo Port Area Suggestions Other Than Casino

I will admit to being somewhat confused. You say you have already hired a private tour company so you are paying them for their expertise and they will have very specific itineraries plus other suggestions. As to "neat sites" keep in mind that you are in the Cote d'Azur which is very popular for its good weather, excellent cuisine, picturesque cities, villages, etc. We have spent weeks in this region and have never been bored, But much depends on your personal preferences. For example, we love to spend a few hours in the old town area of Nice just browsing shops and enjoying a long lunch in one of the outdoor cafes (moules et frites and the local fish soup are always good for us). There are places such as Eze, St Paul de Vence (a personal favorite), Cap d'Antibes, Grasse, and many other small villages. Keep in mind that the French culture is very tightly linked to the local cuisine and wine.... Just visiting the morning Nice Flower Market (which also has lots of food stands) is a highlight for many who visit the region. Unfortunately, many tours (we think "tour" is a 4 letter word) tend to focus on driving from place to place and not taking enough time to stop and smell the roses.
