Fiumicino Airport Question

Hi

We are getting the train from the Port back to the airport.

We are travelling with BA which is in Terminal C (I Think)

Where does the train stop in relation to the Terminal or does it go to all of them

Many thanks

three is one airport train station. It is well signposted (both ways).

If you are going to take the train direct from the port to FCO, I suggest you make the transfer at Trastevere rather than at Termini. The downside is that the train from Trastevere to the airport is not an express. The upside is not having to traverse Termini schlepping luggage.

You should be aware that they have changed the names of the FCO Terminals to 1 2 3 and 5. Terminal C is now Terminal 3. There is a single train station connected to the terminals (except for Terminal 5) and you can walk to the trains. Getting From the Plane to the Train After you've claimed your bags, cleared customs, and are in the main arrival hall for Terminal 3, turn right to get to the entrance to an underpass to the train station. At the far end, there's an escalator up to the station. As you approach the main station area, there are machines attached to the wall on the left where you can buy tickets with a credit card if you're just going to Rome. They have buttons for you to choose the Leonardo Express or the FM1 trains.

When you've taken this entrance to the airport train station, the tracks are just to the left. Also to the left are some orange-framed ticket windows for a travel agency; they sell train tickets at the same price as the machines or the official office. You can use them for tickets to Rome if you prefer to pay cash, or for tickets beyond, including reservations if needed.

To the right are the official ticket office and self-service kiosks. (There are also ATMs in the station if you had problems using them in the terminal or wanted to rush to the station.) The kiosks are more user-friendly than the Trenitalia site and will sell you tickets with seat assignments for upcoming trains

Hope this detailed info (we did copy and paste from a good travel site) answers your questions.

Hank

It's quite simple. The airport is the last stop on both the express and the local line, so you can't miss it.

When you get off the train there are plenty of signs directing you to the various airport terminals. You'll walk across a skywalk, then down an escalator, elevator, ramp or steps to your terminal. There are airport monitors as you leave the train station so you can find your flight.
