Upgrade question

I will be sailing Solstice shortly...I noticed that there are several suites left - S1, S2, and CS. At what point do they consider selling upgrades? Also, how is the upgrade price determined and how do they determine who they offer it to?

One option is to check the website to see how much prices have been reduced, as in difference in the suite price vs what you originally paid. This would indicate your cost if you wanted to upgrade now.

You can also check when you board if any are still available and what price. Not many reports of "great deals" using this method.

 

Unlike some other cruise lines, Celebrity does not seem to aggressively upsell before sailing. Another possibility is that these rooms will be filled by people who have booked GTY cabins and not had assignments made yet.
