Special Events for Singles?

I am, for the first time, going on a cruise without a significant other. That being said, I have never paid much attention to what there is for singles on board the ship. I do have a girlfriend that will be going with me and I have no doubt we will have a great time. This will be her first cruise so I want to make sure she doesn't miss a thing and will become another cruiseaholic. :) Does Carnival offer any type of meet and greets for singles?

They do, but its poorly attended by pax and rarely does staff even show up. It will be listed in the Fun Times.

Carnival usually put singles at the same table at dining, so that does help. The night club and casino is the place I normally connect with other singles.

Yes they do. When you get on board, check out your Fun Times for the first night singles meet. That is not your only place. The bars, disco and piano bar are also great places to meet other singles. Have a fantastic cruise.

The Fun times will list the party/s the first night, one for "younger" guests, one for um..older <grin>

Usually in the Disco, maybe in the "dance" lounge *(cover band lounge)

Hopefully they will seat you with other singles, they are pretty good about this I think, if not you can ask to be seated with singles, talk to Maitre 'd

JMO>> do NOT do "anytime" dining, do regular seating, late seating

Yup, the night club and some shore excursions. Think 'catamaran with open bar' not 'city walking tour'. :D

If you do not like your singles table...move. Don't let the different ages scare you..fun people of all ages helped the neat singles gather on my few cruises..30 years ago to present (last year). Also, fun singles will be at kareoke..along with fun groups of people going from one lounge thing to another. Have a wonderful time.

Out of 7 "Fun ship" cruises, the singles meet and greet has just about always been a bust.

Often or not...*nobody* shows up but me.

Maybe it's me.... perhaps ladies will walk by and say " take a look at that burly bald dork" and keep walking by?
