1st mate Posted July 17, 2010 Author #3 Share Posted July 17, 2010 Yes it does. I usually stay in a JS and love the room. We usually stay in a Balcony. Would like to try JS for 3 reasons. 1. We would get 2 credits and that would give us 10. 2. We want to do a B2B and that would make us Diamond on the second leg. Which I think will be Cool:cool: on both accounts. 3. Would like to see if there is a room quality and size difference. Thanks
linkerbink Posted July 17, 2010 #4 Share Posted July 17, 2010 3. Would like to see if there is a room quality and size difference. We tried our first JS on our April cruise on the Explorer. There definitely WAS a size difference in the room. There was plenty of space between the end of the beds and the desk/vanity and there was a large seating area next to the balcony. There was also quite a lot more storage in addition to the walk-in closet. However, I didn't see any great difference in the balcony size for our particular cabin. We're definitely spoiled after trying a JS!
dixieva Posted July 17, 2010 #5 Share Posted July 17, 2010 I guess balcony size depends on the ship. On the Grandeur the D balcony size is 36 sq.ft. and the JS is 53 or 56 (can't remember for sure) so it's quite a bit bigger. Room for a lounge chair! alexkrn46 Posted July 17, 2010 #6 Share Posted July 17, 2010 You get three credits on a longer cruise.
AF-1 Posted July 17, 2010 #7 Share Posted July 17, 2010 The extra closet space in a JS is great
FLACRUISER99 Posted July 17, 2010 #8 Share Posted July 17, 2010 Does a Junior Suite earn 2 cruise credits per sailing????????? Yes, but for me it depends on price. On your 8/15 cruise I am looking at a $500 price difference I would rather put the money toward another cruise. But different spokes for different folks. gmm1tb Posted July 17, 2010 #9 Share Posted July 17, 2010 We've only had Junior Suites and love it. I lived with 8 other guys in a space the size of an inside cabin on a Destroyer. Space please...
cruisenfever Posted July 17, 2010 #10 Share Posted July 17, 2010 Just a note.......JS cabins vary by size by the class of ship that you are cruising on. JS cabins are larger on Radiance class and above (walk-in closet) than they are on Vision class and below (no walk-in closet).
