Price of car hire in corfu

I have recently been quoted a price of 80 euros for a days car hire in corfu on the 30th august and thought this was quite high. has anybody one hired a car recently and got a better quote. i want to be able to pick it up and drop it back at the port.

We would assume that the rates are somewhat dictated by supply and demand. But when we were in Corfu during the spring, it cost us about 40 Euros for a small car. We cannot recall the rental car company, but they were one of the companys that had rentals right at the port (at the main port terminal building adjacent to the exit).

That is what we paid Corfu Sunrise in 2007 for a car that held 6 people.
